a perfect morning

i was going to title this post, a perfect SATURDAY morning, but then i realized its SUMMER and every morning has the potential to be perfect. it really is a great feeling to know that every morning has the potential to be GREAT. so as i was sitting outside reading a few days ago, i began thinking of what makes a morning really great? after some "deep" (i'm using that word loosely) thought i have come to find what defines my perfect morning

waking up to the sun rising  with.....
a big cup of coffee complete with TWO splenda and one mini cup of creme (i'm oddly particular about my coffee)
i would also go on a walk complete with my ipod. (i love long walks where i can just breathe in fresh air and admire how beautiful my surroundings are while being free from interruption to think and pray.

then complete my morning outside with...
an uninterrupted quiet time
a good book probably by Beth Moore or Karen Kingsbury
a nice breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and granola while taking in creation.

after some "me" time i would CRAVE company.
i would either beg friends to come over, call over my mom or sister or call someone on the phone and talk and talk and talk.... about anything and everything.

this may be a simple list, but its me.
i dont like complicated, i love simple
i love peace and quiet and being outside
left with my thoughts, a pen and journal.

so what would you do to make a perfect morning?

love and shalom,
kayla

  1. I LOVE this post! Reading it just put me at ease...a perfect morning for me would be a wonderful 72 degree morning with an outside lunch of my patio with good friends and family. Gah, let's do this now.
