1. I've read blogs... LOTS of blogs.
Over the past year or so, I have become obsessed with blogs! I love reading about what people are passionate about... and let me say there are some extremely gifted people out there in the blogging world. I found so many crafty things such as making cute headbands, how to make a skirt, great recipes...I could go on. But one of my favorites to read is Casey Wiegand (read here blog here). She blogs about what is most important to her.. She shares her heart and I have been so encouraged by her posts. Another favorite is Ashley of little miss momma. this is more of a crafty blog, but still SO good. She posts on how to make a lot of cute jewelry and fun decorating tips!
2. BUCKET LIST
I've been working on my bucket list. I dont know how you really "work" on it, but I have made it my goal to keep adding to it. Since I'm still a student, I have thought of some things that I want to accomplish before I graduate... Such as..
go to the KSU gardens,
eat at every LOCALLY owned restaurant
see a play
go to the beach museum of art
Or things from my "other bucket list" such as...
finish my book list,
go bungee jumping,
write a cookbook,
go to every baseball stadium in the U.S.
3. Beating the heat and making food!
Naturally, I have been making a lot of different things and trying new recipes. One of my favorites that SUPER easy and surprisingly delicious is a lemoande icy, smoothie (or whatever you want to call it).
A family friend showed me this one when I was helping out with a horse camp for kids at their church. So imagine 100+ weather and 60+ people ALL outside...ALL day. This was the perfect treat to cool down and have something other than water!
Blender or Magic Bullet
Ice
Lemonade Mix (you know, the powder kind in the big tub)
How to make it:
Fun tip: You could even add some strawberries, rasberry's or even blue berries to make it a little more interesting!
Fun tip 2: This would be for more of a dinner party, but put it in a clear glass and display it with some fruit on the side OR even find a fun colored glass to put it in... A fun way to dress up a simple drink!
Well, that's all I have for now, hope you've been inspired to do some fun things when you aren't busy. I'm having a few girls over dinner tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited to share some of the delicious recipes I have found!
Love and Shalom,
Kayla
The KSU Gardens is great, as is the Beach Museum (I had to go there for a class..) AND, I would love to do the locally owned restaurant thing too, but I am QUICKLY running out of time!
ReplyDeleteAND, I can't wait for tomorrow night...I am bringing a new cupcake recipe so hopefully it turns out. I can't wait to try yours!! :)
