yummy yum yum... the next paula dean?

like promised, i am FINALLY posting about FOOD. see, i have a passion for food. i love to eat it, make and come up with new recipes.  this love is not new to me,ever since i can remember i have been around women  that love to cook. whether it was a gramma or aunt or even my mom, there was always cooking or baking happening in the kitchen. i saw recipes being made and shared. this always had sparked my interest, but the most i had done was make sugar cookies, something out of a box, chicken, pasta or a salad. while im definitely not down playing any of these dishes, ( they are key things to learn) i wanted more. so i went from watching the Real Desperate housewives of New Jersey, Orange County, NYC (confession: STILL watch them... everyone has to have a guilty pleasure right?) to the food network.  instantly i fell in love with paula dean's cooking. sure, its heavy on the butter, but her style reminded me a lot of what i saw growing up. after watching episode upon episode i decided it was time to start collecting recipes. i spent countless hours looking at the food network website downloading recipes and trying stuff out. while i LOVED the website, i
found one that was a little more me, and more helpful.

allrecipes.com is my go to site. they have thousands of recipes online posted by every day women and men from all over. its so amazing becuase you can read reviews, have a recipe box, change the serving size... i could go on and on! so i encourage EVERYONE to check it out.

so now, i bring you to the fun part, the part that i have promised and failed up until now....

here some things that i have cooked/ baked this summer

no bake cookies with nutella frosting

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/no-bake-cookies-i/Detail.aspx
i left out the cocoa powder and used 1/4c less sugar!
for the frosting melt some nutella and then drizzle over cookies!
chocolate covered pretzels with crushed m&ms
no recipe here, get chocolate chips and melt for 30s at a time, then take a mallet and crush whatever
topping you want, dip the pretzel in the chocolate then in the topping
and let cool/harden on wax paper and viola!
its done!
stuffed pork chops -recipe coming soon!

after everything was all cooked

the future paula dean without the butter,
